Overview Operation Reach is developing a Biodiesel program where youth will take used cooking oil from restaurants and convert it to fuel. Youth will be in charge of the whole operation from finding customers and clients (entrepreneurship), managing logistics and operations (leadership); and converting the oil (chemistry/ environmental science). Tentative project schedule: - Week 1 - Training
- Week 2 - Surveying Restaurants (clients)
- Week 3 - Surveying Customers (truckers/fleet vehicles/ ?)
- Week 4 - split into teams:
Marketing Directors - in charge of developing and maintaining relationships with clients/customers Operation Managers - oversee the logistics (collection and storage tanks/ vehicles/ schedules) Plant Managers - in charge of conversion process (chemistry) Work-Site Partners Operation Reach
